The lavender field is NOW CLOSED
We were overwhelmed by all our fabulous visitors, and welcome all the lovely comments and feedback, it was sad to close the field for another year , but we really look forward to June 28th 2023 when we will open our doors again for another 28 days!! and hope for the beautiful sunshine of last year to shine again.
Parking is free, pay at cafe (£5 per person ,day ticket, over 10 years old) for access to the lavender field and picnic areas, purchase on day of visit, no tickets are required to be pre booked. However a group guided tour of the field and distillation shed MUST be prebooked with Ian on 07766501209
Obviously some days will be busier than others, but we will try not to restrict numbers, so everyone gets a chance to visit the beautiful field, as the field is a large area able to accommodate everyone. The cafe is small though, so please allow for some delays for hot drinks at very busy times, but its worth the wait!
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate coaches.
Monday : CLOSED
Tuesday : CLOSED
Please be aware this is a working field, with rabbits and moles etc, so the ground is uneven in places and in wet weather the grass maybe slippery, please wear appropriate shoes/ boots.
Children must be supervised at all times, as the lavender plants get damaged if they are jumped on! this is bad for the plants and spoils it for others too.
There are only grass paths around the field, so be aware if using a wheelchair or pushchairs, however the lavender can be viewed from all areas fairly easily, the field is a short walk from the car parking area, so should be accessible for those with limited mobility.
We share the lavender with lots of wildlife, particularly bees, so do take care, and full responsibility of yourselves if you are walking close to the lavender and touching it!
We do not allow picking of the lavender, but there will be lavender bunches for sale, subject to availability on the day.
Please respect the privacy of our neighbours and do not go too close to the back boundary of the field
The Lavender Cafe … please see separate page
Our pond has deepwater so please keep children under close supervision at all times . NO SWIMMING or paddling is permitted, it is for wildlife only!
Every Wednesday and Thursday 9.30 am while the field is open, buy tickets ( £8 including the day pass to the lavender field) for an informative talk and tour of the lavender field, learn all about the distillation process, maybe even see it in action once harvest has started! learn about the different varieties of the lavenders we grow and why we grow different varieties? What is Hydrosol? How is lavender essential oil produced? and much more from our expert Ian!!
ring 07766501209 for booking. places limited so don’t delay!
after the talk enjoy the rest of the day in the field or just stop to have a delicious cup of coffee and cake.
Toilet facilities : There is a disabled toilet available for everyones use, whenever the cafe is open.
Parking is free, there are spaces on hard standing, however if it is very busy, there is overflow parking on grass, in a field ( if there has been heavy rain this will not be used due to the possibility of getting a car stuck in mud!)
There are 2 spaces reserved for disabled drivers close to the cafe / lavender field which are on hard standing.
You’re welcome to bring a picnic to our field and make use of the benches available, or to bring a rug and just use the outside space , enjoying the pond and field. We kindly request ALL litter is taken home with you as we are restricted on our waste collections.
sorry NO Barbecues
We have very limited shelter / shade, so it is advisable to bring your own shade or shelter from bad weather.
Please see separate page for information on the Lavender Cafe
Well behaved dogs, on leads, are welcome, and any dog poo is cleared away by owners.
Professional photography , or photography that requires a change of outfits (!) is allowed anytime during general opening hours but is subjected to an additional fee, of £45 per day, and exclusivity is not guaranteed in a specific area, however the field is big enough to find a quiet area.
Any special occasion photographs , engagement, wedding, landscape or any other commercial photography as defined by us, that are deemed to be professional will require the ‘photographer’s fee’
Drones are strictly prohibited at all times.
Amateur photography for personal use is of course more than welcome! Please tag Warwickshire Lavender if you post them online as we love to see your beautiful pictures.
